CRM Market Grows 12.5% in 2008

CRM Market Grows 12.5% in 2008
Businesses facing our current economic situation understand the importance of retaining customers. According to BtoB Online, the need to retain customers helped boost customer relationship management expenditures to $9.15 billion in 2008. This is up 12.5% from 2007.

Web-based CRM solutions accounted for almost 20% of the total CRM software market last year, up from 15% the previous year.

Additionally, this article states that another reason for the increase in need for CRM management solutions is the growing importance of tracking customer conversations and participation in online forums and within social networks.

Of the CRM solutions providers experiencing this increase, Microsoft Dynamics CRM experienced the strongest growth in the sales of CRM software by boosting sales 75% in 2008.
