Printing from Open Systems or Traverse to a PDF file

Periodically I get asked how can you print forms or reports to a .pdf file. Just sharing some options for you. One is to buy the Adobe PDF writer, but if you don't want to buy a software, there are PDF converters you can download for free. One PDF converter to check out is www.dopdf.com.

Basically what PDF converters do is install a virtual printer (Ex: Dopdf) in your Windows printers list. Then when you are in OSAS or TRAVERSE, you would select the PDF Printer vs. your actual printer to print a report. Now you can save it as a .pdf file or e-mail the file. You can also use this with any other software applications you can print from like Word or Excel.

Microsoft has introduced a new pricing model called Business Ready Licensing (BRL). Microsoft Dynamics GP is sold in bundles of functions by user rather than by module. There maybe advantage to your organization to transition to BRL and benefit from this new pricing model.

It depends on your business needs. You need to consider the cost of transitioning as well as the license price under Business Ready Licensing. If you are looking to add functionality that is included in Business Ready Licensing, you should consider a transition to Business Ready Licensing packaging.

If you meet the following criteria, you might find a transition to Business Ready Licensing beneficial:

§ You are currently using Microsoft Dynamics GP Standard and anticipate the need to expand past the 10 user limitation.
§ You want or need to expand your solution to address more of the functional needs of your business.
§ You are not current on your enhancement plan, but want to update your solution to take advantage of newer functionality and technology advances.

Join this webcast to see how Business Ready Licensing for Microsoft Dynamics GP can help you automate new areas of your business and increase the capabilities of people already using the solution, enabling you to increase efficiency and drive overall cost reduction. Learn how you can enhance financial management through better compliance, improved reporting capabilities, or increased exposure to the key data you need to make decisions. In this session, we provide an overview of the new Business Ready Licensing pricing structure, and we show you how it can help increase the value of your Microsoft Dynamics GP solution while empowering you to realize your potential.
